Bored, bored, bored.

Bored, bored, bored. Oh, how bored am I.

I never thought I would say this but I am so ready for my job to start next week. I'll be working at the office and teaching swimming lessons so it will be a busy busy summer. Hurrah.

Bored, bored, bored. And hungry.

Miss Rixie lost a few points on her groove factor last night. The best friend Nicole and she decided to "scoop the loop" as they used to do many a times back in high school. Giggling hysterically the whole time, they were under the impression they were extremely cool. That is until they got back home and the best friend's younger brother Weston, just recently graduated from high school, informed them that even *HE* didn't do that anymore. I believe his exact words were, "You guys are such losers." That punctured the balloon a little bit, so instead watched "Guess Who is the Transsexual Woman" on Howard Stern. Frankly, it was all too easy.

Running on five hours of sleep. Tara and I stayed up til past 3 a.m. last night eating ice cream and congealed sour cream on burritos. Doesn't that sound delish? Then we settled ourselves on her bed and watched Anastasia and Mulan. Aaah, it's so fun to be seven and watch Disney movies. Today is the high school graduation, so naturally I'm leaving to pick up Bren and see a movie instead. Toodle-oo.

It sure would be a lot easier for certain people to do their business on the internet if these certain people's sisters would let them alone to conduct their business. SHEESH!! Hey Tara--hurry up! I wanna go get some Double Bubble. You are such a slow poke. I could be there and back ten times by now if it weren't for you.

Spent some quality time with the bro last nght. We did some "researching" on the internet, and then I helped him study for his Civil War test in history. Twas quite fun. I yelled an outrageous amount at him (all in good fun) while he said things like, "What was the question?", "What are you talking about?" and "Can I have another one of your Blow Pops?" Aaah, good times, good times. Today I am going to visit Nicole to see her new apartment and meet the new roommate. Possibly going to see a movie also. I think perhaps tomorrow I am going to visit Mom's room at school and observe. I guess I just did not get enough of this all semester. Eeek!! A bird just flew into the window and scared me. The feathers are FLYING. ... And on that note, everyone have an exurberant day.

Howdy all!

Well, I'm home from Iowa City. Weeping, weeping. The good news is: I have a job! Yippee!! The Best Father in the World has kindly offered me a job at his office. Job = $$ = Rixie can pay her rent = EXCELLENT news!! So my big plans for the summer are work, work, work and read 50 books. (2 down, 48 to go).

Yesterday was Weston Hulst's graduation reception. I went early and helped Nicole prepare the sandwiches and other food and be in charge of the cake. Then I stood back and pretended I was important and actually doing something. I can't believe he's graduating. Is this the same Weston that used to sit on me when I tried to rescue Nicole from being beat up by him? Is this the same Weston that once picked me up and threw me over his shoulder and then locked me in the bathroom until Nicole got her mom to rescue me? The same Weston that used to kiss my sister on the lips just to make us giggle? I can't believe it!!

One more thing--Miss Rixie's groove score went down two points yesterday after I slammed into the wall while holding one of my dad's matchstick models. Yes, I did indeed smash part of it. Oh dear.

Nicole came and visited me last night. We went to eat at Gringo's and both had daiquiris--first time I ordered a drink in a restaurant, very exciting! Then we ate so much I thought I was going to throw up. So naturally, we went to Whitey's and got not one, but TWO scoops of ice cream. I couldn't finish mine, but even so I was wishing I would throw up just so I would feel better. Ugh! Never eating again! It has now been 19 hours, and I'm still full!!

Yesterday was my future roomie Ashley's birthday, the big 2-1. So we went over there to open presents and then went to the Q bar. It was PACKED!! Let's review. It was the MONDAY night of FINALS. What are all these people doing out? Anyway, it was so crowed that it wasn't really any fun, so we left after about 20 minutes. Come to think of it, it was a lot like my 21st birthday ...

Happy birthday to Tara ...

Welcome to the wonderful world of the fabulous Miss Rixie. What you have before your eyes are the innermost thoughts of a rambling future teacher-slash-superstar. Here life is Grand and Full Of Purpose, be it researching soap operas on the internet or stalking teachers on the beautiful University of Iowa campus, yelling free advice out the window or performing hallway gymnastics. If any of this frightens you, it would be best to turn back now--this is only the tip of the iceberg.

Enter at your own risk. You've been warned ...
